Staking Mechanism and Tiers

Mahjong Stars offers a tiered staking system where higher stakes unlock better benefits and returns.

Staking Tiers

Staking allows token holders to lock up their assets in exchange for rewards and privileges. Mahjong Stars offers multiple staking tiers:

  • Bronze Tier: Minimum stake threshold; yields modest soft currency rebates and a small percentage of marketplace fees.
  • Silver Tier: Requires a higher stake; unlocks access to exclusive tournaments and reduces entry fees. Token holders at this tier receive a larger share of marketplace fees and occasional airdrops of rare charms.
  • Gold Tier: Significantly higher stake; grants early access to new character releases, priority in AI training queues and premium analytics tools. Gold stakers receive the highest percentage of marketplace and tournament fees.

Staking durations can range from 30 days to 1 year, with longer durations receiving greater rewards. Early unstaking incurs a penalty, promoting stability.

Gameplay Rewards and Loyalty Program

Tokens are integrated into the loyalty program, incentivising players to remain active and engaged. Achievements and loyalty tiers may award small token amounts in addition to soft currency or charms. These token rewards reinforce the connection between gameplay and the broader economy.

Governance Participation and Voting Rights

Active participants can propose changes to the ecosystem, including game features, economic adjustments or charitable initiatives. Voting weight is proportional to the number of tokens held or staked. A governance portal displays proposals, voting periods and outcomes. To encourage participation, voters may receive small token bonuses, especially when they vote with the majority.
